A jury of experts under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer and in cooperation with the Prognos Institute evaluates the submissions. The winning project receives a cash prize of €50,000.
The jury members:
| Professor Klaus Töpfer (Chairman) A renowned German
politician, Professor Töpfer was Federal Minister of Environment,
Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety from 1987 to 1994 and Federal
Minister of Regional Planning, Building and Urban Development until
1998. From February 1998 to March 2006, he was Executive Director of
the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) based in Nairobi.

| Dr. Gabriele Krone-Schmalz An acclaimed journalist, Dr.
Krone-Schmalz worked as TV reporter for many years in, among other
places, Moscow and New York. For several years now, her work has
focused on the interrelationship between government, business and civil
society. Her German-language publication entitled "Wir können es
schaffen" (We can make it) deals with the current social difficulties
in the Federal Republic of Germany, and discusses approaches to
problem-solving. |

| Christian Böllhoff Christian Böllhoff is CEO of the Prognos
AG with offices in Basle, Berlin, Bremen, and Dusseldorf. Before
joining Prognos in November 2003, Mr. Böllhoff was the representative
for executive projects in Berlin for Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing
group, CEO of the Handelsblatt Newspaper GmbH, as well as in a leading

| Herbert Bodner The civil engineer has been Chairman of the
Executive Board at Bilfinger Berger since 1999. From 1991 to 1996 he
held various management positions with Bilfinger Berger's international
subsidiaries before being appointed to the Executive Board in 1997. In
November 2008 Herbert Bodner was elected President of the German
Construction Industry Association.
